I now live in Cairo. This morning in Cairo someone bombed a courthouse, injuring 1 passerby. My husband heard the explosion while he was brushing his teeth before going to work.
"Pick your poison," my husband quipped matter-of-factly.
I do not
like poison.
Sad. True.
ReplyDeleteHey Alicia. I browsed through your posts today. It's so fun to read about your adventures. I especially love the quote at the top of the blog regarding the water and the pebble. I can really relate to that. It's worth it to submerge and really delve into the culture. I figure it's a chance I will likely only get once. I hadn't heard about this shooting in NM. So sad. The people here in Australia think America is just riddled with guns and school shootings...and I guess, we are? I mean we are hearing about school shootings constantly now. It makes me wonder where public schools are headed? Are we all going to be homeschooling eventually? I hope not. Anyway, keep posting and keep being adventurous! Love you!--Jes
ReplyDeleteI LOVE YOUR BLOG! I am so glad you are blogging about all things Egyptian! I am so excited to hear more about the city and life there. Also, It is so sad that children are now getting guns and taking them to school. What a crazy world we live in. Times seem to be getting worse and worse. Stay safe out there.
